2011 Sales Tax Holiday: August 5 – 7The State of Tennessee's Annual Sales Tax Holiday is held every year on the first Friday in August and ends the following Sunday night. This year's tax-free holiday weekend begins at 12:01 am on Friday, August 5th and ends Sunday, August 7th at 11:59 pm. Tax-free items include clothing priced at $100 or less, school supplies priced at $100 or less, and computers priced at $1,500 or less. An overview of all tax-exempt items may be found HERE.
