This is for a client who had an old lunch box that belonged to her father and some molds that she was given by a friend who is a baker. I added the rest and built the bot.



Principal Parts: Lunch box, jello molds, industrial hook, vintage (circa 1946) Brownie camera, industrial spring, test link, strainer parts, and various nuts and bolts.

Topper loves to dig in the trash and chew on the legs of Barbies. If he weren’t so affectionate and determined to be a human bed warmer, he would forever be in trouble. His dream is to finally catch a moth.

For the Locals: In Case You Have Any Electrasol Coupons Left

I happened by Target this afternoon which is not a store I shop at often since local deals are rarely the same as on the blogs. They have the 20 ct Electrasol Finish Dishwashing tabs on sale for $2.50. If you have any more $2.25 coupons left, now is a good time to use them as they expire on the 21st. I bought 10 boxes for .25 each.

This was the Target in Franklin on Columbia Pike at the end of Mac Hatcher. The sign said that the price is normally 2.99 so if the sale is gone by tomorrow it is still a good deal. There are tons left.

Cub Scout Derby Pictures

If you have elementary age boys, I highly recommend joining Cub Scouts. It's not expensive and gives your boys great opportunities to learn such things as building, cooking, selling and manners. The boys frequently do things such as tours of libraries, fire halls, police stations and outdoor activities. Recently both my sons competed in the Derby races and won second place each in their dens. In a time where every kid gets a trophy when they join any sports team, it's nice to have some real competition where they can actually win and lose. We also helped our daughter build a car. She got to compete with the boys after the official races. She's been to so many Scout meetings that she should be an honorary Scout! She's getting her revenge as they have to now attend her Daisy meetings.

Fresh Mushroom Casserole Recipe

This came from a magazine produced by our local electric company. It sounded so good that I wanted to share.

Fresh Mushroom Casserole

Ingredients:

1/4 c unsalted butter
1 1/2 lb fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 sweet onion, peeled and chopped
1/2 c chopped celery
1/2 c chopped green bell pepper
1/2 c mayonnaise
8 slices white bread, cut into 1-inch pieces
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 1/2 c milk
1 can cream of mushroom soup

Directions:

Place the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the mushrooms, onion, celery and bell pepper. Cook, stirring constantly, for 5 to 8 minutes or until tender. Remove from the heat and drain. Stir in the mayonnaise.

Place half of the bread evenly in a lightly greased 13-inch-by-9-inch baking dish. Spoon the mushroom mixture evenly over the bread. Top with the remaining bread. In a small bowl, combine the eggs and milk. Pour over the bread. Cover and chill at least 8 hours or overnight.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pour the soup over the casserole. Top with the cheese, cover and bake 1 hour. Serve warm. Yield: 6 servings.

Buffalo Chicken Dip Recipe

This recipe is compliments of a friend from high school. This would be great to serve at the game this weekend!

Buffalo Chicken Dip Recipe

Ingredients:
2 8oz cream cheese softened
2 large cans of chicken
2 small bottles of Texas Pete hot sauce
1 regular size bottle of ranch dressing
grated cheese

Directions:

Spread cream cheese over bottom of casserole dish. In a separate bowl mix: chicken, Texas Pete hot sauce, and ranch dressing, spread over cream cheese and then cover with cheese. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Let set for a bit before you serve with tortilla chips.
