For the Locals: Do you like Chinese food?

When my husband and I first started dating we used to go to this great little Chinese place called Yum Yum Express all the time. We still love Chinese take out but rarely get it because it has gotten super expensive, at least near our home. Just for an appetizer of steamed dumplings (6 total) you have to fork out $8. That is why I am so happy to tell you about the Tennessee Oriental Market in Nashville. This afternoon I spent around $23 for 5 lbs of frozen dumplings. That's a lot of dumplings for a fraction of what take out charges. Of course that is not all this market has. You can buy asian spices, noodles, vegetables and other cooking supplies and snacks.

It is not much to look at from the outside (kinda scary) but the inside is like stepping into another country. It is located on Charlotte between the State Capital and Interstate 65.
