Hi Dr. Mom!
I know this is a random place to ask a question, but can you tell me about the train ride you took your children on? I know you posted about it several months ago, and I wanted to take my children this summer to ride the train. Any information you can give me would be helpful. I also live in Franklin, but can drive to wherever I need to go. Thanks so much! Colleen

Sure Colleen! Here is the original description:

It starts in Nashville at Riverfront Park leaving at 4:20 and goes to Mt Juliet where it stays for about 10 minutes and then returns to Nashville by 5:35. I was told that this is the only round trip opportunity Mon-Fri. We never got off the train which was perfect for young children. Don't get on the "quiet" car. The train is double decker so you can sit up high, which was very thrilling for my kids. There are no bathrooms that I saw so make sure your kids go before the trip. It's about $9 per person. There is paid parking (self parking) across the street from the station. I don't remember how much it is, but I am pretty sure you can use a debit/credit card to pay.

If you need something else to do downtown, you might want to take your kids for a walk on the pedestrian bridge over the Cumberland. It's the bridge that takes you to the Titan's stadium. Very cool for kids and not too far from the train.
