Love those Amazon downloads!

While I'm here ... I'm going to be in the area for an overnight stop. Can you suggest any web sites that might list restaurants/things to do?
And are there any salvage stores in your area?

Hi DW!
Welcome to Nashville, even for a night! The person you should check out is Ms. Cheap. She is our local frugal columnist for the Tennessean and has her own blog. She frequently has information on restaurants and things to do cheaply. Here is her site:

Nashville has a couple of Habitat Salvage stores which are really interesting to visit. One is primarily building materials and the other is more household goods. They are less than a mile apart. Ms. Cheap mentions them here:

I have never been to this salvage store, but I hear it is great (and huge):

If you need a neat/unique restaurant to visit that is not outrageous, try The Standard. My coworkers and I have gone there for lunch and it was great. It is right downtown. There is parking across the street from the restaurant as well as metered parking on the street. Here is the site:

Hope this helps!
