Myrtle Beach

We have decided to go to Myrtle Beach for a family vacation in October. We have never been but always wanted to try it out. We also got a fantastic deal on a hotel through Priceline. Has anyone been there or know anything about the area? What are the best things to do with three young children? Any good restaurants? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We went to Myrtle Beach in 2006. We went to an all you can eat restaurant called Crabby Mike's and we also went to a place called Captain George's that was all you can eat as well if I recall correctly. We didn't do much besides the beach and hotel pool because our kids were really young then (10, 4, 2, and 1). We absolutely LOVED it though!!!!!

I think you will fall in love with Myrtle Beach after one visit as we did. October is a great time to go. Cooler nights but mild, sunny days and not very crowded. Have a look at our website (myrtlebeachsnowbirderdotcom)for some ideas and send us a note if you have any questions. Have a fun time, Bonnie & Jack

My family goes almost every summer. We don't always stay in Myrtle but we usually go there for at least a day. I enjoy going to the Tanger outlets (coupons on website), Barefoot Landing, and Broadway on the Beach (rides, aquarium, putt-putt, shops, restaurants). A new park opened this year, Hard Rock Park, if your kids enjoy that. Hwy 17 has tons of restaurants to choose from. We love to Miyabi Japanese Steakhouse. The food is wonderful and I always leave with a to go box. I'm sure you can google these and finds out details. I hope this helps.
