Easy Cherry Cobbler

This is an easy and yummy recipe that can be served as a dessert or breakfast. It will be one of the desserts at our house for Thanksgiving. It is even better with ice cream!

Easy Cherry Cobbler

1 lg. can crushed pineapple
1 can cherry pie filling (blueberry is very good as well)
1 pkg. butter yellow cake mix
1 stick butter
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Cool Whip or whipped cream or ice cream

Spray 9 x 13 x 2 Pyrex baking dish with Pam. Slice butter into thin pats. Put pineapple, juice and all in bottom of dish. Add pie filling and mix with pineapple. Sprinkle cake mix over all, then evenly distribute pats of butter over cake mix. Sprinkle with chopped nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes. Serve with Cool Whip or ice cream.

This is a great recipe. We call it a "dump cake". Usually therre is never any left overs of this desert.
