This colorful puppet play, based on African tales of a tricky spider who uses cleverness to achieve his wishes, features handmade marionettes and hand and rod puppets. Presented in the Children’s Theater; running time: 30 min.

Enjoy a fun-filled day of excitement with friends and family including special art-making activities, live music, and dance performances, all themed around our recently-opened exhibition, Medieval Treasures from the Cleveland Museum of Art, featuring rare examples of ivories, sculpture, paintings, and illuminated manuscripts from the 3rd through the 16th centuries.

In addition to special art-making activites in our studios and Martin ArtQuest, you can also see a performance of music from medieval times by the Centennial Recorder Consort and take part in a jousting workshop led by teaching artists from the Nashville Children’s Theatre.
